My Story
The raw, unedited, me.
I’m Katie, a nail technician and educator with over 8 years of hands-on experience within the beauty industry. My career has taken me from busy salon life, to working from home and now working and teaching from my own purpose built nail cabin (built by my very talented husband’s fair hands).
I see the cabin as a calm, welcoming space, designed for relaxing, building confidence and a little well-deserved “me time” whether you’re receiving a treatment or learning.
Education is at the heart of what I do, having previously worked as a teaching assistant in a local primary school to me. My courses are built on not just strong technique and real-world experience but on inclusivity, patience and support. Having previously worked closely with children with SEN, that experience continues to shape who I am today! I’m passionate about creating nail courses that are accessible and accommodating for people with SEN or learning disabilities because everyone deserves to learn in a way that works for them.
My Story
When my gloves are off, I am a mother of 3 boys – yes, completely outnumbered! The cabin is my little escape where I get to connect, teach and share my love for nails. I’m known for being friendly, approachable and “always there” with a hint of a perfectionist to finish me off.
It’s important to me that every student feels comfortable asking questions and that they know that no question is a silly question. We go at your pace and learn in the most relaxed way.
Fun fact: As a child, I was a ballet dancer, a junior associate at the Birmingham Royal Ballet – I attended every Saturday (for most of the day). Precision, discipline and creativity is obviously in my bones!
If you’re looking for nail education that’s supportive, relaxed, friendly and rooted in real experience, you’re in the right place.
